Die Fotografie und der Umgang mit der Kamera wurden für mich schon in früher Jugend zum Selbstverständnis. Seit 1975 ist die Fotografie meine große Leidenschaft, als ich mir von meinem ersten selbstverdienten Geld die erste Spiegelreflexkamera kaufte.
Seitdem ist die Kamera meine ständige Begleiterin. Gleichzeitig habe ich begonnen mit Mischtechniken/Collagen zu experimentieren und mich mit tachistischen, surrealen und abstrakten Motiven in der Fotografie wie aber auch Malerei zu beschäftigen.
Mit den Jahren spielten neben der Reisefotografie und der abstrakten Fotografie die experimentelle Fotografie eine immer größer werdende Rolle. Die Fotografie ist für mich das Ausdrucksmittel meiner individuellen Sicht der Dinge geworden. Sie ermöglicht es mir, die Ästhetik der Dinge, ihre Einfachheit zu vermitteln und sie aus einem anderen Blickwinkel zu zeigen. Dabei betrachte ich alles sehr genau und versuche, das Wesen zu erfassen und alles in seiner Besonderheit wahrzunehmen ohne es 1 zu 1 abzubilden. Die Fotografie ist das Medium, mit dem ich meine künstlerischen Ideen Gestalt werden lassen kann. Die gestalterische Fantasie zeigt sich gerade in den malerischen Lichtbildern. In den letzten Jahren hat mich immer mehr das Experimentieren mit unterschiedlichen Gestaltungstechniken fasziniert. Seit 2003 beschäftige ich mich umfassend mit der Digitalfotografie und Bildbearbeitung und lasse mich aus diesem unerschöpflichen Reservoir der Möglichkeiten immer wieder neu inspirieren. … man sieht nur was man weiß … (Goethe)

The photography and handling the camera became for me already in former times a self understanding. Since 1975 are the photography my large passion, when I bought from my first earned money the first mirror reflex camera . Since then the camera is my constant companion. At the same time I begun with experimental , collage and with tachistischen, surrealen and abstract motives in the photography as well in painting. In the recent years played beside the travel photography and the abstract photography the experimental photography a more largely role. The photography became for me the expression means of my individual view of the things. It makes it for me possible, the aesthetics of the things to obtain their simplicity and to show it from another point of view. I regard everything very exactly and try to seize the nature and to notice everything in its characteristic without one-to-one illustration. The photography is the medium, with most possibilities to create the artistic shapes. The creative fantasy shows up straight in the pictorial photos. In the last years ever more fascinated me experimenting with different organization techniques. Since 2003 I concern myself comprehensively with the digital photography and image editing and can from this inexhaustible reservoir of the possibilities be inspired again and again again. ... one sees only which one know...
